ARTFORWARD Newsletter III – The Green Academy in Copenhagen

We are excited to share the third edition of the ARTFORWARD Newsletter, dedicated to the inspiring Green Academy experience held in Copenhagen, Denmark, within the Erasmus+ KA220-SCH project ARTFORWARD – Artistic Training for a Sustainable Future with Opportunities, Resources, and Development.

This edition highlights three intensive and inspiring days where students, teachers, and project partners explored sustainability through art, architecture, fashion, urban design, and creative collaboration.

Hosted by DANITACOM – The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Denmark, the Green Academy brought together around forty students and teachers from Italy and France, alongside project partners from Denmark, Türkiye, France, and Italy. Through workshops, company visits, guided explorations, and collaborative activities, participants experienced how sustainability is integrated into the creative industries in Denmark.

The programme included inspiring sessions and visits with internationally recognized professionals and organisations such as Kirt & Thomsen, BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group), Circular Atelier Amager, Holscher Design, and creative sustainability expert Veronica Spano.

Participants explored sustainable architecture, circular fashion, visualization, urban transformation, co-creation, and social sustainability while discovering innovative approaches shaping the future of creative industries in Europe.

One of the most meaningful aspects of the Green Academy was the reflective learning journey experienced by students through their personal travel diaries, creative observations, and collaborative workshops. The activities encouraged participants not only to observe sustainability, but also to critically reflect on how creativity and responsible innovation can contribute to a greener and more inclusive future.

The Green Academy concluded with valuable exchanges, shared experiences, and new inspirations that will continue to contribute to the ARTFORWARD project outputs and future educational activities.

We invite everyone to discover Newsletter III and explore the highlights of this inspiring international learning experience in Copenhagen.

🌍 Creativity, sustainability, innovation, and international cooperation continue to shape the ARTFORWARD journey across Europe.
