As the coordinating organisation of the ARTFORWARD Erasmus+ Project, Liceo Artistico “Gaetano Chierici” successfully organised a series of multiplier events in Reggio Emilia, Italy, showcasing the project’s innovative educational approach and strengthening collaboration between schools, businesses, cultural institutions, and the local community.
From January to May 2026, three major events transformed the ARTFORWARD Learning Modules into real-life educational experiences. These included the “Artforward: Visionaries for New Sustainable Connections” design and fashion competition, the “Europe Wears Jeans” sustainable fashion show, and the “Minimal, Light and Circular Architecture” competition. Together, these initiatives highlighted how creativity, sustainability, and European cooperation can inspire innovative learning beyond the classroom.
Students had the opportunity to work on authentic design challenges by applying circular economy principles, experimenting with reclaimed materials, and presenting their ideas to professionals from the fashion, architecture, and creative industries. The active involvement of Confindustria Reggio Emilia, the Order of Architects of Reggio Emilia, public institutions, and industry experts strengthened the connection between education and the professional world while encouraging innovation and environmental responsibility.
The multiplier events attracted hundreds of participants and demonstrated the long-term impact of the ARTFORWARD project in promoting sustainable design, creative thinking, and international collaboration. By bringing together students, educators, businesses, and local stakeholders, these activities reinforced the project’s mission to prepare the next generation of creative professionals for a more sustainable and inclusive future.
